Suna & İnan Kıraç Kaleiçi Müzesi
A private museum in Kaleiçi set in a restored Ottoman mansion and the former Greek church beside it. Known for its tableaux of traditional Antalya life and a collection of Çanakkale ceramics.
The museum occupies a 19th-century mansion on one of Kaleiçi's narrow lanes, carefully restored. In its rooms, life-size figures stage scenes from recent local life — a henna night, the groom's shave, a traditional Antalya wedding — telling the story of everyday life in the region.
The second section sits in the former church of Aya Yorgi in the garden. It holds one of Türkiye's most comprehensive collections of Çanakkale ceramics: hundreds of pieces dated between the 17th and 20th centuries, presented strikingly in the high-ceilinged space.
The museum is small in scale and usually quiet; an hour is enough. It slots naturally into a Kaleiçi walk as a break — the cool interior is an advantage in midday heat, and the courtyard garden is a pleasant place to rest.
