Konyaaltı
A long shore beneath the Bey Mountains
A modern seaside district known for its kilometres-long pebble beach where the Taurus Mountains meet the sea. Promenades, cafés and sunset views line the shore.
About the region
Konyaaltı is the large beach district on Antalya's western side, the closest to the city centre. The roughly 7-kilometre pebble shore, backed by the silhouette of the Beydağları mountains, forms Antalya's best-known view. The sea deepens quickly here and the water is noticeably clearer than on sandy beaches.
A landscaped walking and cycling path runs the length of the shore, making the area appealing at any hour, not just for swimming. Beach clubs, cafés and restaurants line the promenade, while the Beach Park area just behind is the centre of the evening scene. For families, the Antalya Aquarium and surrounding parks sit on the same strip.
At the western end, the Tünektepe cable car lifts you to a summit in minutes for a bird's-eye view of the whole bay — especially at sunset. The Antalya Museum is also within Konyaaltı, holding one of Türkiye's richest collections of Lycian and Roman sculpture.
